Missing package installer (V2.5)

The installation instructions currently describe features specific to version 2.5 (such as the macOS package installer), but the latest available release on GitHub is still v2.4.2.

Could you clarify if v2.5 is scheduled for release soon? Alternatively, could you provide recommended installation instructions for macOS users on v2.4.2, as the current documentation seems to be ahead of the release?

Additionally, I was wondering if the Apple Silicon (MPS) fallback described in the documentation is implemented/usable in v2.4.2, or if that is also exclusive to the upcoming v2.5.

Hi, yes, the documentation reflects the (intended) state of the dev version. There is no 2.5 release yet, but we expect it to be available soon. The main thing, that delayed the release is the integration of the CC segmentation module (see PR #727 ).

The last releases already allow MPS on the Mac (fallback env variable needs to be set for it to fall back to CPU for the one missing function). This works with a native install of the last release. It does not work inside docker as the GPU is not passed through and not supported in the ubuntu dockers.

Hi, thanks for developing FastSurfer! Now that #727 is merged, any chance that we might see the 2.5 release soon?
