Deleting unused pages reverts project changes and restores deleted pages

Current Behavior

When deleting unused pages in FlutterFlow, the editor unexpectedly reverts the project back to a previous snapshot. This rollback restores deleted pages and undoes layout changes made since the last snapshot. The issue occurs even when the page has 0 references and should be safe to delete.
Steps to Reproduce:

• Open a FlutterFlow project.
• Verify that a page has 0 references (no bindings, actions, or dependencies).
• Delete the unused page.
• Observe that the deletion succeeds.
• Delete another unused, unreferenced page.
• The editor reverts the project state, restoring previously deleted pages and undoing layout changes.

Expected Behavior

Delete means delete no revert back if any reference show errors and will fix it. Before it was like that now delete page is not possible. I am trying to cleanup whole project but reverts back all the changes that makes me not cleanup anymore.

Hello!

I see what you mean in the video. This happens because when you try to delete a component or page that could cause the app to crash, the system performs a rollback and restores the latest snapshot. That snapshot was created before the previous page was deleted, so the deleted page appears again.

I'm not sure yet whether this is a bug or expected behavior. If you delete two pages that don’t trigger a rollback to the latest snapshot, the process should run smoothly.

I’ll check with the engineering team internally to confirm how this should be handled. Thanks for highlighting this!

how can app crash if no references are there for that page? if references are there then I understand, but when I right click and find usage that page is not used reference is 0 then why this happens? If I delete a page with refernce or usage it shows errors not crash that time that also i noticed. So something is wrong. Please check and confirm.

I understand your concern, but the key point of my previous comment is that the system performs a rollback and restores the latest snapshot. This means it restores the most recent stable snapshot before the crash occurred.

In this case, the latest stable snapshot before the delete that caused the crash was the one taken before you deleted the other page. As a result, the system restores that snapshot.

In other words, a snapshot rollback restores the entire system state from that snapshot—it isn’t a rollback of a specific page.
