Contribution feature for roadmaps

We want to allow users to contribute to other roadmaps and get people to contribute to their roadmaps ( essentially what github is doing but for roadmaps ). We are currently considering a system without versioning where the workflow would be as follows

• I contribute to a roadmap A in day X and send a contribution request ( pull request in github terms )
• The owner of the roadmap comes at the day X + 60 and opens my request ( the roadmap might be modified a lot in the meantime ) . This will trigger the actual version of the roadmap to be put in the top half of the screen and the roadmap sent by me to be in the lower half.
• The owner will compare the current version from the top with the modified version from the bottom ( note that the current version might be vastly different from what I sent ) and choses what changes to integrate or not.
• After finishing the owner closes the request and marks it as finished and saves the current version of the roadmap

This way the owner can manually take the highlighted changes from the version of the roadmap I sent and chose if he want to integrate them or not by visually comparing them. This way we can avoid making a full blown versioning system for the roadmaps and allow the users to have a relatively good contribution system
