Cursors are currently time-based and generated with this line of code:

return (int) floor( microtime( true ) * 1000 );

A cursor value of -2062052375 looks a lot like 32-bit integer overflow and the server arch (Linux 5.10.0-38-686-pae i686) is 32-bit. That's definitely an oversight! We aren't even benefitting from this level of precision given the * 1000 multiplier.

Luckily, we are likely moving away from time-based cursors via one of these two pull requests, so this should be resolved by beta 3:

If neither lands, we will need to address this.

I witnessed the same issue on my local dev environment and our beta server. When I edit a post or page it takes a few moments, before the RTC Disconnect window opens up. Reconnect is not possible. We are currently using WP 7 Beta 3.

Additional Note: We didn't have this issue in WP 7 Beta 1 or 2

The Browser Console always outputs the same Error Message - A 404 for https://nat.multisite.localhost:8890/wp-json/wp-sync/v1/updates?_locale=user

We have the same behavior on our beta server. I already tested it with all plugins deactivated, switching to a Default WP Theme. The issue persists.

I was experiencing the same issue, but it seems to be resolved in my local tests with the latest Guteneberg trunk and WP 7.0-beta3. Though it would be nice to get a couple more confirmations.

Currently it looks like the linked alternate approaches will land in RC1.

I have high confidence that the initial reported issue is related to PHP on 32-bit arch. If others are able to replicate on other archs, please provide replication and request/response samples.
