I’ll focus on keeping the guide practical and reproducible, and I’ll document real setup issues and fixes along the way so it’s easier for others to follow.I'll try to keep the article beginer friendly so even if a person doesn't know how to code he can follow along with the article.

Thanks for assigning the issue.

Quick note on the PR:

I initially tried running OpenUI fully locally with Ollama using smaller models (ministral-3:3b, phi4-mini:3.8b, qwen2.5:3b, gemma4:e2b). In practice, they weren’t reliable they often ignored instructions or produced broken UI outputs, likely because OpenUI relies on strict, structured prompts.

Since the goal was to keep the setup minimal and avoid modifying core logic or prompts, I decided not to go down the path of heavily changing OpenUI just to make smaller models work.

Instead, I went with a hybrid approach:

• Ollama runs locally
• Model is configurable via MODEL
• Cloud model used for stable and consistent results

I’ve tested everything end-to-end and included screenshots in the PR.

Happy to adjust this if you’d prefer a fully local-only approach, but that would likely require deeper changes in OpenUI.
